These women handle about \u003cstrong\u003esixty percent of the coffee cultivation\u003c\/strong\u003e, a true testament to their vital role in an industry that sustains the community.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHistorically, like in many farming communities across the world, these women were confined to secondary roles and their contributions remained largely unrecognized. In recent years, \u003cstrong\u003eQima has taken significant steps to support women farmers\u003c\/strong\u003e of the region by introducing focused training programs. They also supported the training of ten female farmers to form a dedicated women’s coffee cooperative. This cooperative represents \u003cstrong\u003ea turning point\u003c\/strong\u003e, ensuring that the \u003cstrong\u003evital contributions of women\u003c\/strong\u003e are \u003cstrong\u003eformally recognized and celebrated\u003c\/strong\u003e.
